Press release-Kern’ÄàValley Sun

The United States Marine Corps Reserve, Bakersfield unit will again be in the Lake Isabella Christmas parade, themed "Memories of the Past", on Saturday, Nov. 24. Mark this date down so you won't forget to come.

¬İEach year the Marines sponsor our local "Toys for Tots", program in cooperation with the Salvation Army/Helping Hands Ministries, and each year they march in our parade to collect toys for our local youth.¬İYou are invited to bring your toy donations to the parade and hand them to a Marine.

This is just one of the many Toys for Tots donation boxes that are placed around the valley. Don’t forget to make your donation.

¬İBecause these Marines¬İare about to be activated and deployed, won't you help us give them a great send off. They love the 'Toys for Tots' program. Bring your unwrapped toys for boys and girls ages 1 to 10, to the parade. You can help make a Marine's day before leaving on assignment.

The last day to donate toys to 'Toys for Tots,' in local stores is Dec. 12th. All later donations should be taken to the Community Christian Service Center. For further information on how you can help, call the Community Christian Service Center at 760-379-5100.¬İ
