The 6th annual Kern Valley Future Farmers of America (FFA) Booster golf tournament was held on Oct. 20th at the Kern Valley Golf Course.

There were some 40 attendees at the tournament. In addition to the opportunity to compete on the course, those in attendance also had the chance to win big in the raffles. Those who dominated on the course went home with pockets full of money. The divisions that were awarded cash prizes included teamclosest to the pin and longest drive. The Kern Valley High School FFA would like to thank Click Realty for once again donating all of the prize money for the winning teams. The FFA students would also like to thank our tee box sponsors: Archie’s Hardware, Cheryl’s Diner, The Cleaning Company, Creighton Farms, Dr. Nancy Boyd, Kern River Feed, L&M Lumber, Mountain Masonry, Rankin Ranch, and Rushing River Ranch.

The annual golf tournament would not be such a successful fundraising event without the support of these local businesses; Candy Carousel, Reel Cinema, That’s Italian, Kern River Brewing, Cheryl’s Diner, Rushing River Ranch and True Value. Kern Valley High School would also like to congratulate the tournament winners! The first place team included Ken Watson, Jennifer Jones, Barbara Harper and Bob Sterling. Second place went to the team of John Gregg, Pudge Warneke,¬İDustin Luckett, and Lesley Cline. Rounding out the prize winning teams, in 3rd place was Ken Dotson, Joe Hayes, Paul Cromwell and Marie Black. Every year KVHS FFA students recieve generous scholarships thanks to the support of local businesses and resdients that make events like this possible! KVHS appreciates your support of the Ag Program.
