California Highway Patrol:

REPORT OF COLLISION: On 07-11-08, at approximately. 4:25 p.m., Matthew Allen Bellante of Bakersfield, Calif., was traveling westboud on Hwy. 178 just west of Borel Rd. in his black Dodge pickup at an undetermined speed. Due to Bellante’s unsafe turning movement, he lost control of his vehicle causing it to travel onto the dirt shoulder before sliding sideways across all lanes of Hwy.178 and rolling over the side down a steep embankment. The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Bellante for suspicion of DUI. Bellante was air lifted to Kern Medical Center with a broken arm and several lacerations.

REPORT OF COLLISION: On 07-18-08, Hazel Mozelle Clark of Bodfish, was traveling eastbound on old Kern Canyon Rd. at an undetermined speed. For an undetermined reason, Clark made an unsafe turning movement to the left and drove off the north edge of the roadway. The vehicle then rolled over down the mountainside before coming to rest on its roof. Clark was able to free herself from her seatbelt, but was unable to exit the vehicle. The collision was not discovered until July 20 at 9:30 a.m. by a pedestrian walking in the area who observed the vehicle at the bottom of the mountainside, and subsequently notified the California Highway Patrol. Emergency personnel arrived at the scene of the collision and Clark was transported to Kern Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. SUSPICION OF DUI: On 07-19-08, at approximately.11:10 p.m., Avedis George Torosyan, 21, of Glendale, Calif., was observed traveling westbound on Hwy. 55 approaching Sawmill Rd. at 83 mph in a posted 55 mph zone. An enforcement stop was conducted and the subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Torosyan for suspicion of DUI.

Sheriff’s Department:

SUSPICION OF PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On 07-04-08, Peter Wells, 31, of Bakersfield, was arrested on Hwy 178 near the old Isabella Rd., Lake Isabella, on suspicion of public intoxication.

SUSPICION OF SHOOTING IN A NEGLIGENT MANNER: 0n 07-07-08, Russell Gillette, 32, of Bakersfield, was arrested at the Auxiliary Dam Campground on suspicion of shooting in a negligent manner.

SUSPICION OF PUBLIC INTOXICATION AND RESISTING ARREST: On 07-08-08, Janell Lynn Ritz, 21, of Hawthorne, Calif., was arrested in the 600 block of Panorama Dr., Wofford Heights on suspicion of public intoxication and resisting arrest.

SUSPICION OF MAKING THREATS: on 07-09-08, Troy Dee Battles, 50, of Wofford Heights, was arrested in the 300 block of Heim St., Wofford Heights, on suspicion of making criminal threats, unlawful possession of a firearm, and being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.

WARRANT ARREST: On 07-10-08, Roger Lee Noah, 38, of Lake Isabella, was arrested in the 10500 block of Hwy 178, Lake Isabella, on warrants charging him with resisting arrest and battery upon a person.

SUSPICION OF ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON: On 07-13-08, Donald Kenneth Woolley, 38, of Lake Isabella, was arrested in the Keysville Campground, Lake Isabella, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and making criminal threats.

SUSPICION OF BEING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: On 07-15-08, Matthew Donnell Roberts, 41, of Wofford Heights, was arrested in the 200 block of Roby Lane, Wofford Heights, on suspicion of being an ex-felon in possession of ammunition, under the influence of a controlled substance, and possession of illegal drug paraphernalia.

SUSPICION OF PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On 07-16-08, Ricky Lee Brown, 52, Lake Isabella, was arrested in the 6400 block of Lake Isabella Blvd., Lake Isabella, on suspicion of public intoxication.

SUSPICION OF PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On 07-16-08, James Lee Harper, 42, of Wofford Heights, was arrested in the 6400 block on Birch St., Kernville, on suspicion of public intoxication.

SUSPICION OF PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On 07-17-08, Chelsea Marie Blair, 24, of Wofford Heights, was arrested in the 6500 block of Wofford Heights Blvd., Wofford Heights, on suspicion of public intoxication.
