California Highway Patrol Reports

SUSPICION OF DUI: On 08-04-2008, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Gerald Lynn Meyers, 59 of Bakersfield, was discovered standing next to his motorcycle on Hwy. 155 at Old State Road. The motorcycle was lying on its side on the dirt shoulder. The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Myers for DUI.

REPORT OF A COLLISION: On 08-06-2008, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Robert Casaburi, 39, of Bodfish, was driving southbound on Lake Isabella Blvd. just south of Chain Ave., when he approached Carlene Pinette, 23, of Wofford Heights, who was driving northbound. Casaburi failed to negotiate a right hand curve in the roadway and drove across the northbound lane onto the dirt shoulder. He then turned to the right and lost control of the vehicle and drove into the northbound lane of Lake Isabella Blvd. directly into the path of Pinette. The two vehicles collided head on. Casubari and Pinette sustained moderate injuries; Pinette was transported to Kern Valley Hospital while Casubari refused medical treatment.

SUSPICION OF DUI: On 08-09-2008, at approximately 12:36 a.m., Gerardo Gutierrez, 24, of Inglewood, Calif., was stopped for speeding southbound on Lake Isabella Blvd. The subsequent investigation led to Gutierrez arrest for DUI.

As of presstime Tuesday, Kern County Sheriff’s Law Enforcement press releases had not been received from the Kern Valley substation.

    " gazebo come on we should have raised money to fix the side walks and make more handicap parking some one is going to get hurt by falling on the side walks in kernville so lets use our money in a smart way not on a gazebo........... "

    " The idea for a cazebo is just what the park needs.We have many talented music persons in our valley,and this is a low bugget idea.Let's not deny our tallent a nice place too play their music.The basketball court should'nt be that,it floods from the sprinklers and is for playing sports. "
