There is plenty of space along the shoreline of Isabella Lake for camping.
On Monday, campers had settled in for the evening and were enjoying the last bit of the evening down by the lake.

Labor Day weekend will once again find the shoreline packed with campers squeezing in the last bit of summer time fun before the cooler and possibly wet (We can only hope) weather pours in.
Despite the calling for an increase of fees for camping around the lake, people still pull their rigs and water toys down by the lake.
Here in the Kern River Valley, the local's have found our little lake offers some prime get away time from life. Even when our lake gets invaded by the so called flat landers, it’s nice to see the lake being used in a variety of ways.
The recent reports of the danger of the dams breaking and flooding all the way to Bakersfield, hasn’t deterred people, locals included, from camping at the lake.
Even with the low water levels, the lake has seen many uses including the recent SCE Jet-Ski Races, good fishing, personal use of jet skis, boating, water skiing, knee boarding, wind surfing, sail boating and many others.
The list could go on and on about the use of the lake. It just goes to show, that we as a valley, must treasure what we have and keep it a place that outsiders want to come and enjoy with us.
