California Highway Patrol:

SUSPICION OF DUI: On 9-20-08, Jeffrey Dean Archer, 51, of Lake Isabella was observed weaving and riding the double yellow lines on southbound Hwy. 155, south of Sawmill Rd. Archer’s vehicle’s speed also flucuated between 38-50 mph as it proceeded southbound. An enforcement stop was made and the subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Archer for DUI.

SUSPICION OF DUI: On 9-21-08, Kasey Lynn Kramer, 40, of Ridgecrest, Calif., was observed crossing over the double yellow lines as he proceeded eastbound on Kern River Dr. An enforcement stop was made and the subsequent investiagtion led to arrest of Kramer for DUI.

SUSPICION OF DUI: On 9-19-08, Kirk Edward Turnipseed, 45, of Wofford Heights, was stopped for having an inoperative license plate lamp and an obstructed rear license plate. The subsequent investigation led to Turnipseed’s arrest for driving while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage, driving with a suspended license, presenting false registration tabs and out of county warrant.

MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT: On 9-18-08, Lloyd Huckleberry, 54, of Wofford Heights was driving eastbound on Hwy. 155, east of Calgary Dr. when he sharply applied the brakes of his 2002 Polaris Victory Motorcycle in an attempt to slow down before entering a sharp left curve. Huckleberry’s motorycle fell to the ground at which time he was fully ejected. Both Huckleberry and his motorcycle slid off of the eastbound roadway edge where he sustained minor to moderate injuries.

Law enforcement reports from the Kern Valley Sheriff’s Substation were not available at presstime.
