On Oct. 5 family members were continuing their vigiliant search for Gonzolo Acosta who was swept downstream and missing from the Live Oak Camground since June 28. While searching they found a body wedged in the boulders of the river. The water level is low at this time. At approximately 2:45 p.m., a call was placed to the Kern County Sheriff's Office and Kern County Search & Rescue responded to remove the decedent from the river. The decedent will be positively identified by dental records.
