The closest game of the match came in the third game as Kern Valley came up six points short of extending the match,
The Lady Broncs head coach Elizabeth Miller commenting on the match said, “The match against McFarland was terribly rough because our team did not show up to play competitively. It was disappointing since the girls have so much talent to offer. When we did decide to work as a team it was a little too late. I expect that this match was a learning experience for the players. Fortunately, this is just the beginning of the season and there are many other opportunities for the team to prove themselves and their abilities. I am confident that there will be a competitive edge at our next scheduled game.”
In the match, Kayla Bennet led the Lady Broncs in kills with six.
Jessica Tyack and Holly Largent each had five kills, while Jamy Bulgarelli, Denise Green and Erin Quick had two kills apiece.
Kelsie Robinson and Shayne Villa each had one kill for the Lady Broncs. Tyack collected four blocks at the net and recorded four digs. Green led the team in digs with a total of seven. Robinson was credited with five digs, while Megan Andrews and Bulgarelli each had three digs. Corinn Bedard and Largent had two digs apiece, while Bennet rounded out the digs with one.
