Lady Tigers sweep Kern Valley

Kern Valley was dominated by the Lady Tigers as they took on the powerful Wasco squad.

In Central Section match format, the Lady Broncs managed to only win one set 6-3 by Chelsea Cormack in singles competition.

Cormack would drop her second set 2-6 and then fall in the tiebreaker 7-9.

In singles action, Brianna Jones lost 1-6 and 0-6, Kayla Nevius lost 3-6 and 4-6, Bethany Stanton lost 2-6 and 1-6, Christina Brown was beaten 2-6 and 0-6 and Kristie Edwards lost 1-6 and 0-6.

In doubles the team of Nevius and Brown were defeated in straight sets 0-6 and 0-6.

The team of Cormack and Haley Riise lost 1-6 and 1-6, while the team of Ashley Hampton and Sara Fraser lost 5-7 and 6-7 (2-7 tiebreaker).

Head coach Brian Christianson stated, “Overall, we are playing a lot of sets trying to get ready for league play. We are playing some good competition and this will help us down the road.”
