Community bids farewell to beloved friend

Denny Knight’s casket was escorted on a horse-drawn caisson to its final resting place in the Old Kern River Valley Cemetery on Saturday afternoon. Sierra Mortuary reported it had been more than 40 years since a funeral procession of this type had been permitted in the valley.
