Lady Broncs

On Oct. 29, Kern Valley traveled to Frazier Mountain. Head coach Hazard said, “The girl’s ran well and took first, second, third, fourth and fifth place to win with a sweep.

Fifteen points is a perfect score in cross country so it was a solid victory.

Criswell finished in first place and set a course record with the time of 27:29.

Sierra Hazard came in second place with the time of 28:11, Tyack placed third with a time of 28:13 and Byrket came in fourth place with her time of 29:38. Hinkey rounded out our top five and finished in fifth place with the time of 30:53.

Frazier Mountain has a really hard course with lots of hills and sand so the times look slow but the girl’s were working hard,” Hazard said.

Lawhon came in seventh place at 33:05 and Stamps finished in tenth place with the time of 36:01.

“We are currently tied for first place and the league championship will be determined today when we will race all of the teams from the High Desert League.”

Hazard went on to say, “The girl’s have a good chance of bringing home the second league championship in school history,” said coach Hazard.
