Brown/Nevius stopped in CIF Qualifying Finals

The Lady Broncs doubles team of Christina Brown and Kayla Nevius were able to advance to the CIF Qualifying Finals before being defeated.

Going up against the No. 1 seed from Bishop in the best of three sets the Brown/Nevius team battled in the first set to take it to the tiebreaker. They would end up losing the tiebreaker 7-2.

In the second set it was all Bishop as they won 6-0 to claim the championship and move on to the CIF tournament. Only first place finisher's move on to the CIF Tournament.

In their first match, playing as the No. 2 seed of the doubles tournament, the team of Brown/Nevius took out the No. 7 seed from Mammoth in two sets.

They won the first set handily 6-0 and stayed on the right track winning the second set 6-3.

In the semi finals match, Brown/Nevius matched up against the No. 3 seed from Bishop. They were never in any danger as they took both sets in easy fashion. They won 6-1 and 6-2 to advance to the finals.

Other matches for Kern Valley included, singles play from Bethany Stanton and Brianna Jones. Stanton fell to the No. 3 seed 0-6 and 0-6, while Jones dropped both sets 0-6 and 0-6.

The doubles team of Chelsea Cormack and Haley Riise faced off against the No. 1 seed from Bishop and fell 2-6 and 3-6.
