Canyon crash claims life of Wofford Heights man

According the California Highway Patrol a Wofford Heights man lost his life when his vehicle hit a boulder in Kern Canyon on Thursday morning. Donald Eugene Duvall, 43, of Wofford Heights, was allegedly speeding on Hwy. 178 2.1 miles East of the Edison Power Station. According to the CHP Duvall was passing traffic at a high rate of speed at 7:25 a.m. when he lost control on a curve and struck a large boulder. Duvall was taken to Kern Medical Center and died of his injuries about an hour and a half later.
