California Highway Patrol:

SUSPICION OF DUI: On 1-30-09, Leilani Patricia Penalver of Bakersfield was observed driving her Honda northbound on Lake Isabella Blvd., south of Lakeland St. The Honda drifted over the double yellow lines as it proceeded through a curve in the roadway. An enforcement stop was made and the subsequent investigation led to the subjects arrest for driving while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

Sheriff’s Department:

SUSPICION OF BEING IN POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 1-19-09, Gary Lee Mitchell, 37 of Bodfish was arrested in the 3400 block of Lake Isabella Blvd., Bodfish on suspicion of being in possession of marijuana and making annoying phone 911 calls.

WARRANT ARREST: On 1-24-09, James Hinson, 26, of Onyx was arrested in the 8000 block of Harmony Ln., Onyx on warrants charging him with battery, under the influence of a controlled substance and traffic violations.

SUSPICION OF MAKING THREATS: On 1-24-09, Bart Allen Dahl, 36, of Lake Isabella was arrested in the 12200 block of Hwy. 178, Mt. Mesa on suspicion of making threats, false imprisonment, spousal battery and a parole violation.

SUSPICION OF PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On 1-24-09, Terrence James Violet, 25, of Weldon was arrested in the 8000 block of Harmony Ln., Onyx on suspicion of public intoxication and brandishing a weapon.

WARRANT ARREST: On 1-25-09, Victoria Jean Navin, 26, of Lake Isabella was arrested in the 2500 block of Lupine St., Lake Isabella on a warrant charging her with being under the influence of a controlled substance and driving without a license.

WARRANT ARREST: On 1-27-09, Liza Lennet Torrez, 38, of Lake Isabella was arrested in the 2500 block of Irwin St., Lake Isabella on a warrant charging her with traffic violations and failure to appear in court.
