Laureate Iota Omega

Thirty-eight members of Laureate Iota Omega and their sister chapter, Preceptor Xi Eta, joined together on Feb. 7 at Paradise Cove for a brunch honoring their respective Sweethearts, Debi Creighton and Nancy Puckett. An innovative program on friendship was a mixer that enabled the two chapters to join together and chat about old and new friends. Laureate Iota Omega looks forward to two very special service projects, participating in the 11th Annual Kern Valley Hospital Foundation Heart Walk on Feb. 28, and purchasing daffodils from the American Cancer Society to be given to the hospital to brighten the dining area and patient rooms.

On Jan.. 28 we got together at the home of Vikki DelPellegrino-Stahl. At the meeting we held our “ritual of jewels” for our three new members. On Feb. 7 we had our Sweetheart Luncheon at Paradise Cove Restaurant. Both chapters of Beta Sigma Phi were in attendance as sisters Nancy Puckett and Debi Creighton were honored for their special kindness to the sorority. On Feb. 11 we enjoyed a meeting hosted by Jennie Gehr. Jennie told us of some of the folklore relating to Valentine's Day. Our next meeting will be on Feb. 25.
