California Highway Patrol:

SUSPICION OF DUI: On 3-14-09, a reporting party notified CHP dispatch of a reckless driver who was possibly driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. The vehicle, driven by Christopher Michael Cheatwood, 30, of Bakersfield was stopped by CHP. The driver was positively identified by the reporting party. The driver of the vehicle was determined to be driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage after failing to perform field sobriety tests in a satisfactory manner.

SUSPICION OF DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (PRESCRIBED MEDICATIONS): On 3-10-09, at approximately 10:50 am, The California Highway Patrol responded to Kelso Valley Rd, just north of Adams Rd. for a reported single vehicle traffic collision. Upon CHP arrival, it was discovered the vehicle has been involved in a collision, it had been driven onto a soft sandy shoulder at which time it became stuck in the sand. Charlotte Marie Thomas, 55, of Weldon, was contacted in close proximity to the scene and the subsequent investigation led to her arrest for driving under the influence of a controlled substance (prescribed medications). SUSPICION OF DUI: On 3-11-09, Floyd Martin Manwell, 43, of Lake Isabella was observed driving westbound on Webb Ave at Steensen St without wearing his seatbelt. An enforcement stop was made and the subsequent investigation led to his arrest for DUI.

Sheriff’s Department:

SUSPICION OF PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On 2-23-09, Diane Beaty, 51, of Lake Isabella was arrested in the 8500 block of Fremontia, Lake Isabella on suspicion of public intoxication and violation of court orders.

WARRANT ARREST: On 2-18-09, Marie Cecelia Ellefson, 52, of Lake Isabella was arrested in the 3700 block of Wagon Wheel, Lake Isabella on a warrant charging her with public intoxication.

WARRANT ARREST: On 3-2-09, Kimberle Joy McNally, 34, of Wofford Heights was arrested in the area of Hwy 178 and Democrat Hot Springs on a warrant charging her with driving under the influence and child endangerment.

SUSPICION OF RESISTING ARREST: On 3-5-09, Edmond James Bowhan, 35, of Bodfish was arrested in the 100 block of Fussel Street, Bodfish on suspicion of resisting arrest, possession of marijuana and attempting to destroy evidence.

SUSPICION OF BEING IN POSSESSION OF ILLEGAL CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: On 3-7-09, Jonathan Douglas Hargus, 27, of Bakersfield was arrested in the 6200 block of Lake Isabella Blvd., Lake Isabella on suspicion of being in possession of illegal controlled substance.

SUSPICION OF SPOUSAL BATTERY: On 3-7-09, Denise Marie Floyd, 57, of Lake Isabella was arrested in the 2700 block of Audrey Ave., Lake Isabella on suspicion of spousal battery.

WARRANT ARREST: On 3-9-09, Amy Ann White of Bakersfield was arrested in the 6200 block of Lynch Canyon Drive, Mtn. Mesa on a warrant charging her with possession of stolen property.

SUSPICION OF SPOUSAL BATTERY: On 3-9-09, William Edward Weaver, 64, of Mtn. Mesa was arrested in the 12700 block of Hwy. 178, Mtn. Mesa on suspicion of spousal battery.

SUSPICION OF BEING IN POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY: On 3-11-09, David William Jardine, 30, of Hollywood, Calif., was arrested in the 6200 block of Lake Isabella Blvd., Lake Isabella on suspicion of being in possession of stolen property.

SUSPICION OF VEHICLE THEFT: On 3-11-09, John Jay Latimer, 31, of West Los Angeles, Calif., was arrested in the 3000 block of Suhre Street, Lake Isabella on suspicion of vehicle theft.

SUSPICION OF ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON: On 3-11-09, Kathryn Ann Phillips, 47, of Wofford Heights was arrested in the 200 block of Old State Road, Wofford Heights on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and spousal abuse.

SUSPICION OF BEING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: On 3-11-09, Sara Hutchinson, 20, of Lake Isabella was arrested at the Kern Valley Substation on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of prescription medication with a prescription, and child endangerment.
