Anyone investigate impact of restricted access?

As a health care professional, I feel it is my obligation to express my concern regarding Forestry’s plan to ban public access to most of our lake shore. Has there been a thorough investigation about the possible impact the restricted access will have in the event of an injury or illness at the lake shore?  These are varied and include hypothermia, serious lacerations, seizures with injury or loss of consciousness, heart attacks, strokes, watercraft accidents, fractures, etc., effecting the patient and without immediate vehicular access, precious time would be lost getting medical attention and treatment. As an RN at our local emergency room, I have a deep concern that the above matter should be considered prior to closure of our lake access.

" Coleen, The forest service couldn't care less about saving lives. They are a government entity and as such only care about overtaxation and causing misery to mankind. Oh and by the way, the forest service was one of the sucklings on the porkulus package that was rammed thru last month. So they should have all the money they need. So why the 50.00 pass and fee increase? I like to quote Ronald Reagan, who said to fear these two statements: I'm from the government, and I'm here to help. "

" I guess I am slow to learn about the plan to restrict access to the lake shore...the only question I would ask is ..WHY????and WHY? would we allow our government to do this..When it comes to a vote and it must..I vote NO "

" Wow, are you ever right, Coleen, and I know from experience and history, your Dad would be screaming about this injustice to our valley way of life, if he were still alive! God help us, and protect us from those who would take away our rights! "
