Sequoia National Forest tactics sneaky

In typical fashion with the current mentality of the U.S. Forest Service, trying to sneak something through without allowing anyone to comment. The truth this could have devastating impact to all that live in the Kern Valley or have ever visited the beautiful location.

The move is to prohibit ALL vehicle access to the lake with parking only in a paved parking lot and walking sometimes several miles to the water line.

No boating to your campsite, No taking your fishing gear, No camping gear, No parking to take the children swimming, etc.

This is the first move to make Isabella Lake off limits to any use by the public except in certain paved locations.

A few points: Isabella Lake is the lifeline for all merchants and thousands of employees in Kern River Valley and doing this a time of extremely difficult economical times.

The south side by  Auxiliary Dam at Isabella Lake has a reputation as one of the best wind surfing sites in the U.S. These people could no longer drive to lakeside and camp with their gear.

My sister works at the emergency room of the local hospital and said without quick access by vehicle many, many people would have lost their lives from hypothermia, serious cuts, drowning, boating accidents, heart attacks on and on...anything that is time sensitive to medical help.
