Public Agency Reports 05/06/09

California Highway Patrol:

SUSPICION OF DUI: On 04-27-09 Michele Lorraine Narramore, of Wofford Heights, was observed driving 69 mph on southbound Burlando Rd. north of Nellie Dent. An enforcement stop was made and the subsequent investigation led to Narramore’s arrest for driving while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

TRAFFIC COLLISION: On 04-29-09 Vladimir Vaynshteyn, 45, of Northridge, was traveling eastbound on SR-178 in his 1997 Mitsubishi just east of Call Box 3 in the rain. Vaynshteyn entered a lefthand curve in the road at an unsafe speed. Due to his speed Vaynshteyn lost control of his vehicle, spun across the road and off the north shoulder. The Mitsubishi rolled numerous times down the mountain coming to rest approximately 100 feet below the road.

TRAFFIC COLLISION: On 04-30-09 Helmut Wolf, 55, of Germany, was riding a rented 2008 Harley Davidson Motorcycle eastbound on SR-178 west of China Gardens when for unknown reasons he lost control as he rounded a left curve in the roadway. The motorcycle fell down onto it’s left side fully ejecting Wolf onto the roadway at which time he injured his right ankle.

SUSPICION OF DUI: On 05-01-09 Tracy Ann Andrews, 39, of Weldon, was driving east on SR-178 at Entrada. She lost control of her car and overturned. At the scene of the collision she showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol. The subsequent investigation led to her arrest for driving under the influence.

SUSPICION OF DUI: On 05-02-09 Scott Bryan McCollough, 40, of Lake Isabella, was stopped for driving erratically. The subsequent investigation led to McCollough’s arrest for driving under the influence.

SUSPICION OF DUI: On 05-03-09 Stephen Christopher Conway, 35, of Lake Isabella, was stopped for failing to stop at a stop sign. During the enforcement stop Conway displayed the objective symptoms of alcoholic beverage intoxication. The subsequent investigation led to Conway’s arrest for driving while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

Sheriff’s Department:

POSSESSION OF ILLEGAL DRUG PARAPHERALIA: On 03-30-09 John Andrew Doser, 31, of Lake Isabella, was arrested in the 2400 block of Reeder Street, Lake Isabella on suspicion of resisting arrest, possessino of illegal drug paraphernalia and a parole violation.

SUSPICION OF MAKING CRIMINAL THREATS: On 04-03-09 Steven Wesley Adams, 51, of Mt. Mesa, was arrested at the Auxiliary Dam Campground on suspicion of making criminal threats and assault with a deadly weapon.

SUSPICION OF PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On 04-15-09 Armen Joe Stone, 33, of Onyx, was arrested in the 1800 block of Curran Ave., Lake Isabella on suspicion of public intoxication.

WARRANT ARREST: On 04-18-09 Kimberle Joy McNally, 34, of Wofford Heights, was arrested in the 2500 block of Evens Road, Wofford Heights on warrants charging her with making a false police report.

WARRANT ARREST: On 04-18-09 Eric Shane Young, 23, of Wofford Heights, was arrested in the 100 block of Lake Air, Wofford Heights on a warrant charging him with annoying/molesting a child.

WARRANT ARREST: On 04-21-09 Ronnie James Haigler, 27, of Bodfish was arrested in the 300 block of Salaine Dr., Bodfish on warrants charging him with possession of an illegal controlled substance.

SUSPICION OF VEHICLE THEFT: On 04-22-09 Bobby Glen Smith, 28, of Weldon was arrested in the 20500 block of Hwy. 178, Weldon on suspicion of vehicle theft and evading police officers.

WARRANT ARREST: On 04-23-09 Michael Caniano, 38, of Lake Isabella was arrested in the 2600 block of Irwin Ave., Lake Isabella on a warrant charging him with a parole violation.

SUSPICION OF BEING IN POSSESSION OF AN ILLEGAL CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: On 04-24-09 Daniel Gleason, 31, of Lake Isabella was arrested in the 2400 block of Erskine Creek Road, Lake Isabella on suspicion of being in possession of an illegal controlled substance, transportation of an illegal controlled substance, and possession of marijuana.

SUSPICION OF PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On 04-25-09 Jason Campbell, 33, of Quartz Hill was arrested in the 11500 block of Kernville Road, Kernville on suspicion of public intoxication.

POSSESSION OF AN ILLEGAL CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: On 04-26-09 Melissa Michelle O’Neill, 39, of Bakersfield was arrested in the 6500 block of Wofford Heights Blvd., Wofford Heights on a warrant charging her with possession of an illegal controlled substance.

SUSPICION OF BURGLARY: On 04-26-09 Sabrina Sue Soto, 40, of Onyx was arrested in the 200 block of Bristlecone Ave., Wofford Heights on suspicion of burglary.

SUSPICION OF BEING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: On 04-30-09 Jacob Turlington Torres, 19, of Wofford Heights was arrested in the 4200 block of Lake Isabella Blvd., Lake Isabella on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

SUSPICION OF POSSESSING ILLEGAL CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE FOR SALES: On 05-01-09 Bruce Lee Anderson, 44, of Bodfish was arrested in the 3400 block of Lake Isabella Blvd., Lake Isabella on suspicion of possessing illegal controlled substance for sales and possession of illegal drug paraphernalia.

SUSPICION OF POSSESSION OF AN ILLEGAL CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: On 05-01-09 Rebecca Lyn Caetano, 49, of Bodfish was arrested in the 3400 block of Lake Isabella Blvd., Lake Isabella on suspicion of possession of an illegal controlled substance, illegal drug paraphernalia, possession of narcotics, and attempting to destroy evidence.

    " Ann, it's the same pretty much everywhere. It's just that here you read about it in the paper, most places don't publish penny ante "crimes" much less the names of the people who committed them. The law enforcement report is very small town and gossipy, but at least they don't put who filed for divorce. I lived in another small town that actually published that! "

    " Well, illegal controlled substances, DUI, unsafe speed in the Canyon, Public Intoxication, a burglary once in a while and a lot of Spousal Abuse. I guess we can be thankful that there are not many murders. The weekly arrest reports are somewhat disturbing, however, and causes me concern as a resident in the KRV. "
