Wanda J. (Pickle) Cooper passed away Monday April 27,2009. Wanda was born in Battle Creek Michigan on Jan. 7, 1925 to Mortimer O. and Marguerite D. (Whitney) Pickle. Wanda was a beloved wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In her younger years she was a member of the volunteer Clearwater Coast Guard as a radio operator. She loved to draw beach scenery and was an avid reader who volunteered in her local library.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, John Hayward, her sisters, Marguerite (Pickle) Cary, Marjorie (Pickle) Stone, and Mary Jane (Pickle) Conley. She is survived by her son William Tichenor and his wife Debra, from Lake Isabella, CA, daughter Dawn (Tichenor) Griffith and her husband Mark Griffith from Navarre, FL, Grandsons Sean and Joseph Tichenor of New York, Tyler Griffith of Navarre, FL, and granddaughter Mesha Elliott and her husband Todd, great-grandsons Jacob and Jared Elliott of Bakersfield CA. Wanda will be greatly missed by all who knew her.


A memorial service will be held by Family and friends on Saturday May 9 at 2:00 in the afternoon at Gulf Breeze Courtyard a memory care community where Wanda resided until her passing.
