Morris Pool was born in Malvern, Ark. on Nov. 9, 1926. He passed away on Friday, May 1, 2009. He was born into a large family with 10 children. At the age of 20, he married the love of his life, Willie Stutts, on April 27, 1947, in Yuma, Ariz. They were blessed to enjoy 62 years of marriage together. He spent 21 years as a real estate broker in Yucaipa, Calif. He retired to Lake Isabella in 1981, where he became a member of the Highland Chapel United Methodist Church. His favorite hobbies included fishing, camping, and coaching Little League baseball and youth football. He loved teaching the youth the skills needed to play sports but more importantly the value of true sportsmanship. In fact he received a highly coveted award (The Colonel Parilla award) for being an outstanding role model for the youth of Yucaipa Little League baseball. He was an intelligent yet gentle man and when he spoke people listened.

He is preceded in death by his grandson Joshua David. He is survived by his wife Wildadene; his son Steve and his wife, Bonnie; his son Rick and his wife, Giovanna; his daughter Susie and her husband, Jerry Williams; his grandchildren Erika King and her husband Ethan; Holly Cash and her husband, Shane; Ronnie Weaver and Danielle, Taylor and Jett Williams; and great-grandchildren Abigail and Elie King and Brody Cash; and numerous friends. He was loved by everyone who knew him and he will be sorely missed.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Highland Chapel Methodist Church, 3301 Lake Isabella Blvd., Lake Isabella, Calif. Officiating Pastor Brian Mark. Graveside service immediately following at Kern River Valley Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sierra Valley Mortuary.
