Eric Brian "Rick" Erwin

Eric Brian “Rick” Erwin, son of Don and Ruth Erwin, of Squirrel Valley at Lake Isabella, was laid to rest May 4 at Greenlawn Southwest in Bakersfield with full military honors. Rick was born July 29, 1959 in Fresno to Donald Erwin and Christa Erwin Lawrence. He went to be with the Lord and his beloved daughter Melanie Renee on April 28, 2009.

A 1977 graduate of West High School, Rick proudly followed in his father’s footsteps by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. Rick is survived by his mother and stepfather, Christa and David Lawrence of Fresno; his father and stepmother, Donald and Ruth Erwin of Lake Isabella; his brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Rebecca Erwin of Bakersfield; sister, Regina Vandergrift of Fresno; stepbrothers, Erik Jensen of Antioch and Mark Jensen of Bakersfield. Pallbearers were Rick’s friends Craig Edmonston and Ron Miner, nephew Dylan Jensen, and brothers Scott, Mark and Erik.
