Full Throttle Wrestling Club sent 7 wrestlers to Fresno for the 2009 California State Freestyle Wrestling Championships.

In his first year, and also his first trip to the State Championships, Jacob Lightner won the Silver Metal and earned the tittle of second in state at the Bantom 75lb class.

The entire team had a great time and competed against the best junior wrestlers in the state. In Conner Collins first match he drew the eventual gold metal winner, and in his second match drew the eventual silver metal winner, but he fought hard. Dalton Hambelton competed in the Cadet class and fought hard but came up short against the best in California.

Dylan Harbuck fought his best match of the season in his second battle pulling out a win in three rounds, advancing to the third round but no further. Conrad Miller gained a half pound, and was moved up a weight class, but still was able to pin his first opponent, but was unable to advance beyond the third round. Dakota Harbuck and Chase Hawk both had a great learning experience, but was unable to get past the second round.

Full Throttle Wrestling would like to thank everyone who helped make this season a success.
