Merritt wins Don Tolle Memorial Subway Open

Summer is almost here and the horseshoe season is in full swing. If you would like to get involved come to Tank Park Thursday at 5 p.m.

Thursday Team Play Results were as follows: First-Butch Hanna, Norm Cook 4-1. Second-Rusty Muncy, Cathy Cunningham 4-1.

On Saturday our tournament was to honor Don Tolle. Readers of the Kern Valley Sun remember Don for his contribution to the publication, but Don was also a member of our club and helped us greatly for many years.

Class A: First-LeRoy Merritt 4-0 (Tournament Champion). Second-Charles Woolery 3-1

Class B: First-Butch Hanna 5-0. second-Marc Brickell 4-1

Class C: First-Ron Brickell 5-0. Second-Eric Brickell 3-2.
