Two members of the Galloping Goose Motorcycle Club, based in Springfield, Mo., were arrested Friday night when Kern County Sheriff's deputies assigned to directed patrol in the Kern Valley area stopped three motorcycles to investigate possible vehicle code violations. Deputies arrested of two individuals, Danti Kirby, 34, of Pella, Iowa and Matthew Korwel, 28, of St. Louis Mo. Kirby and Korwel were arrested on charges of possession of a deadly weapon and being members of a street gang. They were transported to Central Receiving Facility in Bakersfield and booked on the charges.

“We have a reunion every year,” said one member who wasn't identified. “We hold it in a different place each year. This year we're here.”

Galloping Goose members camped at Live Oak in Wofford Heights.

" Since when did it become constitutional to arrest people for being members of a "street gang"? Secondly, who ever said a motorcycle club is a street gang? So motorcycle clubs across the nation are selling crack on street corners and pulling nightly drive by shootings ending with the deaths of innocent women and children? Wow, who knew! I'll be sure to avoid your fine Christian community like the plague!!!! You can give up some comfort for fear or you can give up your rights for comfort-no thanks, I'm man enough to deal with "The Boogieman". Kidd "

Seven yeara ago we weren't in a financial crisis, seven years ago my daughter was a teenager and now is an adult and a mother....yes, 7 years makes a big difference. The DOJ has always and will always consider biker groups criminals....it's what they do best, remain narrowminded. "

The DOJ says the Angels are criminals.
So from 02 to 09 seven short years the Angels have cleaned up thier act?

So theres someone breaking into your house late at night, who ya gunna call?
    The HA's I don't think so.. "

The Angles are bad news, as are the Mongols, the Vagos, etc.

Did you miss the footage of the Angles, Mongols shoot out in McLaughlin Nevada?
The Vagos provide muscle for the HA's. The Gypsy Jokers, the Outsiders, the Satans Slaves, all are bad news, and they have murdered police officers.
These are fact not fiction. Why does the KRV have a problem with the police and not motorcycles gangs?

The Goose's are old school, remember Hollister? They've never caused any real trouble, no harm, no foul. "

Having the pleasure of knowing quite a few in SFV, I can tell you that you would never know that your dentist or CPA is an active member of the H***'s Angels. For the most part they are businessmen and active members of the community. Mongols, however, are animals and have recently been forcibly disbanded by law enforcement agencies throughout the southland. "

Three years NBC Photojournalist, one year FOX Photojournalist, one year PBS Photojournalist, cap that off with thirteen years as an independent ENG camera operator. Does this resume buy me any credibility? Do I meet your threshold for critiquing “serious journalism”? Does it really take a Masters in Journalism to determine that this pseudo reporting is bunk? How ‘s about you come off that tall horse and enlighten us with your credentials. "

They issued the press release that contained the information about arrests, charges and names." If all you are doing is reprinting press releases you’re no better than Fox News or Air America. Shame on you for being the laws stooge. A pathetic disclaimer to CYA just shows your incompetence and willing ness to fill this paper with uncorroborated dreck. SHAME ON YOU! "

" It is my understanding that one of the "deadly weapons" was an item that is legal in other states & the owner was unaware that it's illegal in California. The other was a hammer which the arresting officer felt was too easily accessible. Not exactly WMDs. I, for one, appreciated the business they brought into town and into my shop. They were all extremely courteous, friendly & generous. If these guys are so horrible, where are all the arrests for drugs, violence, & real weapons? Have you read our local police blotter lately? Let he who is without sin... "

Then your online edition should have the same disclaimer. This article is replete with errors, and it is obvious no fact checking took place. By printing such articles without taking at least minimal steps to ensure their accuracy, you are not engaging in serious journalism, merely online gossip mongering. "

I also recall a certain 'member' giving up his toy squirt guns (the same guns that cooled them off while riding across the hot desert), to the children at the adjoining camp site, just so's they could have a bit of fun too.
