California Highway Patrol:

SUSPICION OF DUI: On 06-23-09 Jack Michael Matlock, 38, of Lake Isabella, was contacted as he drove up and stopped at the intersection of Turner Ave. and Lake Isabella Blvd. Upon contacting Matlock, he displayed the objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication. The subsequent investigation led to Matlock’s arrest for driving while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

SUSPICION OF DUI: On 06-24-09 Kristen Geneva Finstad, 27, of Ventura, was observed weaving repeatedly while driving northbound on Burlando Road at Kern River Drive. An enforcement stop was made and the subsequent investigation led to her arrest for DUI.

REPORT OF COLLISION: On 06-27-09 Richard Knight, 50, of Lake Isabella was driving his 1996 Dodge Stratus northbound on Burlando Road near the Kern Valley Golf Course. Ruddy A. Vasquez, 53, of Santa Monica, and Ana Alfaro, 47, of Reseda, were driving a 2007 Cadillac Escalade southbound on Burlando Road at the same location. Due to Knight’s level of intoxication, he allowed his vehicle to quickly drift into the southbound traffic lane at which time it struck Vasquez’ vehicle head on. The subsequent investigation let to Knight’s arrest for driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage while causing a collision and subsequently causing injury.

SUSPICION OF DUI: On 06-27-09 Bret N. Burton, of Weldon, was riding his motorcycle south on Sierra Way north of Cyrus Cyn. He lost control, ran off the road and collided with a barbed wire fence. At the scene of the collision Burton showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for DUI after the investigation.

SUSPICION OF DUI: On 06-28-09 Mitchell William Rolls, of Taft, was driving east on SR-155. He allowed his truck to run over a curb in the center divider. An enforcement stop was made and the subsequent investigation led to his arrest for DUI.

Sheriff’s Department: No reports were made available this week.

    " i was wondering that myself it was not the puppies fault the drive should not have had the poor baby lose in the car pets are just like children they need to be secured and in the back seat where its safe.i truly hope the puppy is okay "
