California Highway Patrol:

SUSPICION OF DUI: On 10-17-09 Joshua Ryan Bull, 23, of Wofford Heights was observed driving northbound on Lake Isabella Blvd. at Elizabeth Norris Rd. and failed to stop for a stop sign. An enforcement stop was made and the subsequent investigation led to his arrest for DUI.

REPORT OF COLLISION: On 10-18-09 Lynn Pelaez, 49, of Newbury Park was riding her 2006 Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on SR-178 as she approached the intersection of Kelso Valley Rd. At the same time, Eddie Witzig, 27, of Lake Isabella was driving northbound on Kelso Valley Rd. as he approached the intersection of SR-178. As Witzig approached the intersection, he failed to stop before the stop limit line and allowed his 1996 Pontiac to enter the eastbound traffic lane of SR-178. Pelaez attempted to swerve to the left to avoid the collision, but she was subsequently struck in the right side which caused her to fall to the ground as she was fully ejected from the motorcycle. After the collision, Witzig fled the scene during which time witness’ follwed him while providing information to law enforcement. Shortly after fleeing the scene, Witzig returned.

Sheriff’s Department:

SUSPICION OF PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On 9-4-2009, Louis Griego (57) was arrested in the 5400 block of Lake Isabella Blvd., in Lake Isabella on suspicion of public intoxication and resisting arrest.

SUSPICION OF PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On 10-6-2009, Mathew Colt Reynolds (25) was arrested in the 3700 block of Goat Ranch Road, in Lake Isabella on suspicion of public intoxication.

SUSPICION OF RESISTING ARREST: On 10-8-2009, Melissa Gail Bashaw (47) was arrested in the 15,300 block of Cottontail Lane, in Weldon on resisting arrest.

SUSPICION OF SPOUSAL ABUSE: On 10-11-2009, Joseph Eugene Duvall (28) was arrested in the 400 block of Pasadena Lane, in Lake Isabella on suspicion of spousal battery.

WARRANT ARREST: On 10-12-2009, Allen Casey Hubbard (21) was arrested in the 2400 block of Harnage Lane, in Lake Isabella on a warrant charging him with possession more than an ounce of marijuana.

SUSPICION OF SPOUSAL BATTERY: On 10-12-2009, Robert Anthony Smith (43) was arrested in the 200 block of Bristlecone Dr., in Wofford Heights on suspicion of spousal battery.

WARRANT ARREST: On 10-14-2009, Robert Lee Posney (41) was arrested in the 1800 block of Curran, in Lake Isabella on warrants charging him with possession of possible illegal drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended driver’s license.

WARRANT ARREST: On 10-14-2009, Wayne Thomas Sparks (38) was arrested in the 3500 block of Lake Isabella Blvd., in Lake Isabella on warrants charging him with evading peace officer and indecent exposure.

SUSPICION OF VIOLATING A COURT ORDER: On 10-15-2009, Lawrence William Speight (56) was arrested in the 100 block of Marvista Dr., in Wofford Heights on suspicion of violation of a court order.

SUSPICION OF VIOLATING A DOMESTIC VIOLENCE COURT ORDER: On 10-16-2009, Michael Nunez (51) was arrested in the Caliente Bodfish Road at Trading Post, in Havilah on suspicion of violation of a domestic violence court order.
