High-speed debt of gratitude

Published on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 1:25 PM PDT

I read in the Kern Valley Sun last week that our valley communities has received funding that will bring high-speed Internet broadband for the first time to 9,179 unserved households. I would like to acknowledge a member of our valley community that labored unselfishly to bring this fiber optic cable right to our front door, Richard Rowe.

As many already know Richard communicated with both Mediacom, the CPUC and others over the course of many months to bring this 21st century necessity to our homes and businesses. Thanks Richard.Thank you for showing us all what a difference one caring, community-minded individual can make. This beautiful rural valley and its citizens owe you a high-speed debt of gratitude and appreciation for helping to enriching our lives.
