Community meeting about ‘Walkable Communities’ project in Kernville Oct. 8

Kern County First District Supervisor Jon McQuiston will host a community meeting in the Odd Fellows Hall, 50 Tobias Street in Kernville, Oct. 8, at 6:00 p.m.

Pat Ebel from Kern County Roads Department will be on hand to obtain public input on the phase one design for the “Walkable Communities” project in Kernville. The grant application will be submitted to the Kern Council of Governments for consideration. The funding is made available through the Federal Transportation Enhancement Act.

“Your ideas and opinions are important to me. I look forward to hearing from all members of the community,” said McQuiston. “This is an important project and everyone will be given the opportunity to share with us the vision they have for their community.”
