" If you go to the Kern County Sheriff's website they have posted a comment regarding the rumors that have been going around. In short, it's much ado about nothing, other than one actual rape they are investigating from about 2 weeks ago. No bodies in the flume or anywhere else either.

I don't recall there being this much hysteria back when we actually did have a serial rapist striking our community a few years back. "

" If in fact there are substantiated Rapes happening the Public needs to be notified. "

" There is a 10,000lb elephant in our area and I think it is time that is begins to either get discussed or recognized as simple rumor - either way, the SILENCE from law enforcement is deafening. The general public is worrying, discussing, conjecturing and upset about the 'alleged' brutal assault, rape & stabbings of 3 wommen. The rumor/attacks have escalated to a rape/murder of a 14yr old behind Ace Hardware on 10-28-09.
I highly respect our local Sheriffs and implore that they clarify the validity or falsehood of these attacks. We deserve at least that as taxpayers. "
