On Oct. 13 the local middle school teams took to the court at Wallace Middle School.
The South Fork sixth\seventh grade team came out on top of the competition with match sets of 25–12, 25–14, and 16–14.

Mullen had three recorded kills, while Strongman was credited with one kill.
The eighth grade competition proved to be more fierce with the Lady Colts taking the first set 25-17, but the Lady Mustangs came back to win the second and third match sets with scores of 25–18 and 15–13 respectively.
Coach Mixon remarked, “The Colts have really improved and put up a great fight. They have some really strong servers and it will be exciting uniting all of these young athletes on one side of the court at the high school level.”
Top server for the Lady Mustangs was S. Eirich with seven service points and four aces. Miko Tollefson added six points with two aces, Ciera Butcher had five and two aces, Bobbie McKim with four and three aces, and Mullen added two aces, Peaker with two aces and Shannon Flanagan with one ace. Genesis Marshall had three kills along with McKim’s two kills. S. Eirich added one kill.
The Lady Mustangs traveled to Ridgecrest to battle a strong Immanuel Christian team. The sixth\seventh team came back from a first set loss of 17–25 and took the match by winning the second and third sets 25–15 and 15-11.
Ace\Service points were as follows: S. Eirich 6\10, Peaker 5\8, Strongman 2\3, Mullen 1\3. M. Eirch and E. Anzaldo also added two service points each. S. Eirich recorded four kills and Mullen had one.
The eighth grade took a loss with match sets of 21–25 and 10–25.
