'Sleigh Bells & Snowflakes' Christmas Parade theme

The Kern River Valley Chamber of Commerce has announced the theme, “Sleigh Bells & Snowflakes,” for the 32nd Annual Lake Isabella Christmas Parade to be held on Saturday, Nov. 28, at 11:00 a.m. along Lake Isabella Blvd., in Lake Isabella.

As in past years, there is no entry fee. The rules are simple. All entry forms must be received by 4:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 13. Parade Entry Unit Numbers may be picked up after 8:00 a.m. prior to the parade on parade day in front of the Kern River Valley Chamber of Commerce office, located on Lake Isabella Blvd., in the Kern valley Sun Building.

Except for the equestrian units, prejudging of all entries will begun at 9:00 a.m. in the line-up location. Equestrian units will be judged as they pass by the announcer’s stand. They should, however, be in the parade ine-up no later than 10:30 a.m. Equestrian entries are asked to meet for awards at the Chamber office following the parade.

During the parade, Lake Isabella Blvd. will be closed from the 4-way signal light at the boulevard and Hwy. 155 to Crestview Ave.

Throwing of candy is done at your own risk, as the chamber’s insurance does not cover entrants in the event someone is injured.
