Lady Broncs recover to beat Rosamond

On Oct. 15 the Kern Valley junior varsity volleyball team competed with Rosamond on their home court.

The Lady Broncs dropped the first game losing 14-25. In the second game Kern Valley battled back to tie the match as they won by two points 25-23.

In the third and deciding game the Lady Broncs collected the win 15-7 as they earned the match victory.

Sydney Scott had five digs, two aces, while Jessie Looy served up four aces, had four digs, two assists and one kill.

Jessica Yasin had four digs, seven kills, one block and two service aces, while Anita Clark had two digs, one block and one ace.

Ashley Burgo had three service aces and two digs, while Brandie Medley had one dig, one assist, one kill and two aces. Sarah Alexander had two digs, one assist and one ace.

Two days prior it was a close match for the Lady Broncs when they traveled to Bishop to take on the Lady Bronocs. Kern valley won the first game 25-17, but the second and third game went to the Lady Broncos 25-17 and 15-13.

Kailey Villa had one kill and two service aces, while Looy had five two aces. Yasin had one block and an ace, while Scott had two aces. Burgo was credited with one block, and five aces, while Clark had two aces.
