It took four games for Kern Valley’s varsity volleyball team to claim the win over the Lady Broncos of Bishop on Oct. 29.
Kern Valley lost the opening game 24-26, but battled back to win the next three 25-14, 25-17 and 26-24 to take the match.

Sierra Ure and Jamie Duran each finished with three kills, while Kylie Onstott had two. Shayne Villa was credited with one kill in the match.
The service game was led by Onstott with eight serving aces.
Next was Duran with six aces, while Kelsie Robinson recorded four serving aces.
Andreas had three aces. Corinn Bedard, Morgan Eirich and Shayne Villa each had one ace.
Head Coach Tom Evans said, “The good news is we beat Bishop. The bad news is we lost Kylie Onstott in game four with a sprained ankle. The good news is Shayne Villa can take her starting spot and do a fine job.”
