In Celebration of Veterans Day Sequoia National Forest will be waiving camping fees at Auxiliary Dam, Old Isabella Road, South Fork Recreation Area and Camp 9 Day Use Area

In honor of Veterans Day on Wednesday, Nov. 11, the Sequoia National Forest fees will be waived for all visitors to Auxiliary Dam, Old Isabella Road, South Fork Recreation Area and Camp 9 Day Use Area. These four areas are located on the Kern River Ranger District, one hour from many surrounding mountain areas, where visitors have a great opportunity to play and have fun at destinations along the shoreline of Lake Isabella.

The U.S. Forest Service honors the sacrifices of America’s veterans and armed services personnel on Veterans Day. The national forests are America’s playgrounds that provide healthful outdoor recreation opportunities for millions of Americans every year. We're encouraging people to get outdoors and enjoy their public lands for people who like to walk, hike, bicycle, horseback ride, fish, view wildlife, photograph nature, or enjoy a variety of other outdoor activities.

Plan your Veterans Day holiday today and visit the Sequoia National Forest website at: www.fs.fed.us/r5/sequoia.
