California Highway Patrol:

SUSPICION OF DUI: On 12-01-09 David Brian Unsell, 51, of Wofford Heights, was stopped for exhibition of speed. The subsequent investigation led to Unsell’s arrest for DUI.

REPORT OF COLLISION: On 12-02-09 Henry Hutchison, 54, of Lake Isabella was driving northbound on Barlow Dr. just north of SR155. He allowed his vehicle to drift onto the right shoulder and the vehicle subsequently drove off the roadway, down the steep embankment and rolled over coming to rest on it’s roof. Hutchison was seatbelted in the vehicle and sustained minor injury.

REPORT OF TRAFFIC FATALITY: On 12-04-09 Robert John Lee, 63, of Montclair, was driving a 2006 Toyota pickup northbound on Lake Isabella Blvd. with the #1 traffic lane approaching Turner Ave. James Kelly, 69, of Lake Isabella was crossing Lake Isabella Blvd. on his electric wheelchair, just south of Turner Ave. from west to east and had just entered the northbound #1 traffic lane of Lake Isabella Blvd, directly in the path of Lee. Lee applied his brakes and attempted to swerve his vehicle to the right but was unable to avoid colliding into Kelly. Kelly was struck and thrown from his wheelchair, landing in the two-way left turn lane of Lake Isabella Blvd., just north of Turner Ave. Kelly was then transported to the Kern Valley Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Sheriff’s Department:

WARRANT ARREST: On 11-14-2009, Robert Scott Mitchell (46) was arrested in the 10700 block of Highway 178, Lake Isabella, on a warrant charging him with possession of controlled substance.

SUSPICION OF POSSESSION OF ILLEGAL WEAPONS: On 11-15-2009, Steven Kyle Sanders (39) was arrested in the 2800 block of Erskine Creek Road, Lake Isabella, on possession of illegal weapons and possession of drug paraphernalia.

SUSPICION OF POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: On 11-18-2009, Monica Marie Mrtinez (29) was arrested in the area of Burlando Road and Kern River Drive, Kernville, on suspicion of possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving on a suspended license.

SUSPICION OF MAKING A FALSE BOMB REPORT: On 11-19-2009, Richard Lawrence Hunt (47) was arrested in 60 block of Evans Road, in Wofford Heights on suspicion of making a false bomb report.

SUSPICION OF PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On 11-24-2009, Kimberly Cecelones (43) was arrested in the 7400 block of Wofford Blvd., Wofford Heights, on suspicion of public intoxication.

WARRANT ARREST: On 11-29-2009, Jeovonti Allen (28) was arrested in the 8000 block of Rocky Hill Road, Onyx, on a warrant charging him parole violation.

WARRANT ARREST: On 12-3-2009, Michelle Yvette Briones (43) was arrested in the area of Highway 178 and Entrada Blvd., in Southlake on a warrant charging her with drinking alcohol on a city street, public intoxication, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

WARRANT ARREST: On 12-3-2009, Matthew Kacy Torres (20) was arrested in the area 5600 block of Lake Isabella Blvd., Lake Isabella, on warrants charging him with impairing an aircraft with light/bright device and public intoxication.

WARRANT ARREST: On 12-4-2009, Vikki Michele Stanton (40) was arrested in the area 7200 block of Wofford Blvd., Wofford Heights, on a warrant charging her with spousal battery.

SUSPICION OF CHILD ABUSE: On 12-4-2009, Patrick Michael Fry (21) was arrested in the 6100 block of Poplar St., Weldon, on suspicion of child abuse, possession of more than an ounce of marijuana, and cultivation.

SUSPICION OF CHILD ABUSE: On 12-4-2009, Supanza Nhim (19) was arrested in the 6100 block of Poplar St., Weldon, on suspicion of child abuse, possession of more than an ounce of marijuana, and cultivation.

SUSPICION OF CHILD ABUSE: On 12-4-2009, Daniel Monroe Fry (26) was arrested in the 6100 block of Poplar St., Weldon, on suspicion of child abuse, possession of more than an ounce of marijuana, and cultivation.

SUSPICION OF CHILD ABUSE: On 12-4-2009, Joy Fry (27) was arrested in the 6100 block of Poplar St., Weldon, on suspicion of child abuse, possession of more than an ounce of marijuana, and cultivation.

SUSPICION OF POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: On

12-4-2009, Randall Preston Riley (42) was arrested in the 8600 block of Deerbrush, Southlake, on suspicion of possession of controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

SUSPICION OF ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON: On 12-5-2009, Anthony James Cabral (23) was arrested in the 2400 block of Mason Ct., Lake Isabella, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

SUSPICION OF MAKING CRIMINAL THREATS: On 12-6-2009, Brian Scott Raprager (26) was arrested in the 2100 block of Kilbreth Dr., Bodfish, on suspicion of criminal threats.
