The Kernville United Methodist Church announced the start-up of a new after-school music program geared to children and youth. The “Sing Out” Youth Chorus, directed by the church Music Director, Gary Geivet, will include opportunities for singing, playing simple instruments, and assisting with production details. The church is providing this program, which is free of charge, to expand the limited music education and performance opportunities for the children and youth in our valley.

Rehearsals will take place weekly, beginning Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 4 pm and last about 45 minutes. The group, open to children and youth 5 years and up, will perform every 4 -6 weeks, either at the church, or at special community events. It is free of charge, and parents are welcome to attend or participate in assisting with the productions as desired. For more information, please call the church office at 760.376.2751, and ask for Gary Geivet.
