Gary passed away Nov. 30, 2009 in Lake Isabella, Calif. Gary was born to Walter and Flora May Allbee in Bell, Calif. on July 20, 1943. Gary grew up in McFarland, Calif. until the 9th grade when they moved to Bakersfield where he graduated from Bakersfield High School. Gary’s occupation was a truck driver which took him all over the United States. In later years Gary would move to Lake Isabella, Calif. which he loved. Gary is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son, Sean, wife Mona and granddaughter Samantha Allbee of Bakersfield, brother Darryl and wife Gail Allbee of Bakersfield, brothers Dale and Steve Allbee of the Los Angeles area, brother Randy and wife Brenda Allbee of Virginia and sister Linda and husband Jim Ellis of Bishop, Calif.

Bud Case passed away peacefully in Bakersfield on Dec. 30, 2009. Bud was a resident of Weldon since 1993, where he resided with his wife, Janet. Bud was retired from McDonnell – Douglas (Boeing) after many years in the aircraft industry. After moving to Weldon, Bud was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Bud was also proud of the fact that he was one of only a couple of men that were members of the South Fork Woman’s Club where he loved to call bingo.

Upon graduation at East Bakersfield High School, Charles honorably served his county in the South Pacific.

She is survived by her husband Tom; her son, Mike and his wife Heather, and grandson John Clark of Sacramento, Calif.; her daughters, Cathy Schwandt of Yuba City, Calif., Patricia Goodmanson of Folsom, Calif., Gwen Miller of Pahrump, Nev., Rebekah Miller-Scott of Yuba City, Calif.; her brothers, George Anderson and wife Carmen of Heyburn, Idaho, Jim Clark and wife Esther of Palmdale, Calif., and many nieces and nephews.

Leona Callahan
In Loving Memory

Leona Callahan, 86, died peacefully in her sleep while under Hospice and family care on Jan. 6, 2010. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she was an accomplished nurse and business woman. The oldest daughter of Max Miller and Ruth Tanner, she grew up in New York State, where she graduated from Dover Plains High School in 1940. She attended business school and went to work as the private secretary to the owner of the Amco Magnesium plant in Wingdale, N.Y., during World War II. After the war, she studied at White Plains Hospital School of Nursing, and went on to work as a registered nurse in New York, Connecticut, and Florida. It was a profession she truly loved.

Bernetta was born Aug. 29,1913 in Benwood,W.V. and passed away Jan. 11, 2010, in Lake Isabella. Her parents were Edward Brandon and Pearl Barker Brandon. She was one of six siblings, four boys and two girls; brothers were Leo, James, Ralph and Charles Brandon; and sister Mary Boginski Brandon. Her father, Edward, worked in a steelmill for 45 years. Pearl Barker Brandon, her mother, raised her family at home. Mommie's education was through the 10th grade, as her mother became ill and Bernetta helped take care of her mother and younger siblings at home.
