Lady Broncs outscored 48-38

On Monday the Rosamond Lady Roadrunners came in undefeated to play the Lady Broncs here at home; it was a big game for Kern Valley. Head Coach Don Hazard said, “The girls played really hard against Rosamond.”

In the second half the Lady Broncs came out with a lot of energy and came within a few points from Rosamond who had a large lead at half time. Rosamond is known for being a very good team and was able to pull ahead at the end to win the game. The final score was Rosamond 48, and Kern Valley 38.

Dolly Anzaldo had a good game and ended up with three steals, one assist, and three rebounds and scored 17 points, and Kayla Harris also played a good game; ending the game with seven steals, two assists, two rebounds and ten points.

Tori Barnum had 13 rebounds, two steals, two blocks, and scored five points, Dorothy Thoman had three rebounds, one steal, two blocks and two points, Amber Snyder had two rebounds, Ashley Hampton had eight rebounds, one steal and one assist, and Savannah Duvall had two steals, one assist and one block.

The next day the Lady Broncs traveled to Desert, the first half the Broncs had a ten points lead but Desert came out after half time fired up and defeated a tired, leg weary Kern Valley team 28 to 24, said Hazard.

Leah Bishop played good defense and had two steals, Barnum had six rebounds, eight steals, one assist, and two blocks and scored four points, Anzaldo had four steals, two assists, one block and scored 13 points.

Thoman had three rebounds, three steals and four points, Snyder had one rebound, Harris had ten steals, one block, four rebounds and four points, Duvall had two steals, and Hampton had four rebounds and one block.
