George passed away at the Skilled Nursing Facility in Mt. Mesa on Friday, Feb. 6, 2010. George moved to Onyx in December of 1995 with his wife Lois Davis.

George and Lois married late in their lives, so George in inherited three grown stepchildren with their children and grandchildren to add to his own grown family.

George grew up in the Los Angeles area, and was in the Navy in WWII.

He had returned and was living in San Falipi, Mexico when he met and married Lois. They lived in Yuma, Ariz., prior to moving to Onyx.

They enjoyed extensive traveling in their R.V. It seemed like they would just get home and off they would go again.

George was the only granddad and great-granddad to so many of his stepgrandchildren. He will be missed by both sides of his family. George leaves behind his son Jerry Davis and wife Mavis in Ariz.; son Paul Davis, and daughter Terilee Walker and husband Don, both in Southern California area; and many grand and great-grandchildren; three stepchildren, Margaret Taylor, Onyx, Calif. ,Bob Gallemore and wife Rita, Tehachapi, Calif. and Faye Ellis, Onyx, Calif., and many stepgrand and great-grand children.

George’s ashes will be placed in the Veteran’s Cemetery in Riverside, Calif.
