This season, the Kern Valley junior varsity girls softball team could potentially be another exciting one.
Teaming up once again are head coach Jacqueline Phillips and assistant coach Sandy Meadors.

New to the team are freshman, Jordyn Acosta, Hailee Adams, Hayven Bevan, Bekah Borthick, Ashley Burgo, Cheyenne Hayes, Toni Hogue, Dominique Navarre, Patty Ruiz and Courtney Steinberg.
“It’s always great to have your starting pitcher (Puls) and catcher (Crane) back from last season. Puls is a very consistent pitcher and that helps at the junior varsity level. She did an excellent job last year staying focused and definitely brought a lot to the team,” said Phillips.
Phillips believes her team is off to a great start, they plan to work hard, like always, and be the best that they can be.
“The Lady Broncs team has a lot to learn this season, but has the potential to do well. We have a few power hitters, at least that’s what I can see so far, and for the most part a good hitting team. Our returners are good leaders and I believe the new players will learn a lot from them. I am looking forward to coaching this team,” Phillips said.
“This season we have a lot of running speed, and with pitcher Puls and catcher Crane they both bring to the field experience offensively and defensively,” said Meadors.
