" It's just another example of politicians' hypocrisy.

    Say one thing, do another.

Vote anti gay; hang out in gay bars.
Run on a "peace" platform, then escalate the war.

All of it is hypocrisy. "

" Gay or straight is fine. Driving a state car drunk should require a resignation. Lying to us and bashing gays all these years should require a resignation.
He just joined a lot of Republican office holders this year that should have been thrown out, but were not. (The Gov of N./ Carolina and Senator of Nevada, who were "staunch" Christians that dealt out on their wives and miss-used the public trust in the process.)
The Republican party big wigs choose your candidates if you vote that way. Leave the R and D parties. "

" I could not care less about Ashburn's sexual orientation. The fact that he was arrested for a DUI in a government vehicle is "breaking news"... "

" No one cares that you're gay.

We all care that you were driving drunk, and that you voted for the state's biggest-ever tax increase.

That's the behavior we all want changed. "

    " All I see is a politican.

    That politician was reportedly drunk.

It is rather odd that he would not want to set a good example by his actions. We all make mistakes, some more often than others.

It does not matter what the color of his suit was or his reported lifestyle he chooses. "

    " This is Breaking News?

It is too bad that it happened this way. I find public humiliation tragic.

That being said, he should suffer the consequences of a DUI, not the Gay. "

" What's really sad is that more people in this area will be more offended by Roy being Gay than by the fact that he was driving drunk. "

" what exactly should we pray for? That Roy continue to tell the truth? that all homophobes come out of the closet? that people get that it's better to be an honest open Gay than to be a closet case Gay hater? that more peope would live out of love instead of fear? That irrational hate would be replaced by respect for those causing no harm? Wow that's a lot. And that's what I'll pray for...that and Barbara to grow a heart and get therapy... "
