First week back flurry of activity at KVHS

Published on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 2:09 PM PDT

This first week of school at Kern Valley High School has been stressful, tiring, and exciting all at the same time. The noisy buzz of the halls and busyness of trying to complete homework drowns new and previous students. During this crazy week the Associated Student Body is beginning to approve and plan all our fun upcoming activities for this year.

Last Friday, Aug. 27, we had a back to school dance that was luau themed. It included three hours of fun and dancing in a sea of grass skirts and leis. Many of the students looked forward to the event and it was a dance no one should have missed!

This Friday, Sept. 3, get your stadium cushions and a big bottle of water for the Broncs first football game! It’s always fun to come out and support your friends, children, grand children, great-grand children, neighbor’s children, etc. Make sure to buy refreshments from the sophomore, junior, senior classes and clubs to support our school, we always appreciate the community’s participation and enthusiasm.

September plans at KVHS include: Picture Make-up Day Sept. 7, Senior Pictures Sept. 8-9, Club Rush Day Sept. 9 and Back to School Night Sept. 20.

ASB has a lot planned for KVHS this year so make sure to stay up to date on upcoming events.
