Jacqueline ‘Annie’ Ann Wilson
Sept. 3, 1920 - July 18, 2010

Published on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 10:14 PM PDT

Annie Wilson was born on Sept. 3, 1920 to John and Florence Frith in Jefferson, Mo., and passed away July 18, 2010 at the age of 89, in Mt. Mesa, Calif. She had resided in the Kern River Valley for more than 60 years, prior to her passing.

Annie is survived by her loving daughter-in-law, Linda Weser, who was with her until the moment she passed; sister Margret Legnard; favorite niece Sue Kerckhoff; grandchildren Matt and Nancy Ogan, Mike Weser, Keith and Sandy Weser, and Tonya Mann; and great-grandchildren Mason, Avery, Maddox, and Marley Ogan, and Jessica and Elijah Weser.

Annie is preceded in death by her parents John and Florence Frith, husband George Wilson, son David Martin, and sisters Rose Frith, Lottie Walker, and Ellen Johnstone.

Annie was a very hard working and frugal woman. For over 30 years, Annie worked as a housekeeper at local lodges. During her retirement Annie meticulously cared for her garden and indoor plants. Annie also enjoyed collecting lighthouses and spending time with her cherished dog, Cricket.

Although Annie did not meet her goal to live to see her 90th birthday, we all know that she is happy and peacefully looking down on us, surrounded by her friends and family that have passed before her. Annie will be greatly missed, especially her sense of humor, and although our hearts are grieving, we know that she is in a place of comfort.

The family of Annie Wilson would like to thank all the nurses and health care providers at Kern Valley Hospital, along with Dr. Holly Spohn, Mercedes and Sandy; you have all been such a blessing.

Services will be held Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at 1:00 p.m., at the Four Square Church in Wofford Heights, Calif., with a reception immediately following at the same location.
