College offers Community Orchestra Class this fall

Tap into your musical talents and good intonation by enrolling in the Cerro Coso Community Orchestra class being offered this fall.

Cerro Coso offers innovative, affordable, and sophisticated opportunities for creative expression and performance through the Cerro Coso Kern Valley Orchestra.

Interested musicians should be able to play all major scales and be able to read music. Woodwind or brass musicians should have at least one year of playing experience or instruction.  Strings musicians should have at least three years playing experience or instruction or be able to play in 3rd person.

Participants will perform a variety of styles of music: classical, semi-classical music, music from the stage and movies, popular music, music from around the world, and big band/jazz arrangements and are required to participate in two performances per semester.

Bruce Brady will instruct the $50 course on Mondays from 5 to 9 p.m. beginning in Room G at the Cerro Coso Kern Valley Campus located in Lake Isabella.
