‘Thank you’ residents of KRV

Published on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 2:09 PM PDT

On behalf of the Kern River Ranger District, Ranger Rick Larson would like to express our appreciation for your generosity during the recent Bull Fire.

Your donations to our fire fighting and support personnel were extremely appreciated. We enjoyed an array of donations including assorted baked goods, foods, hand written letters, pictures and posters, e-mails and phone calls.

The generosity shown by the many children, adults, and local churches, as well as those that travel into the community for business, went far in representing your care and concern. Your donations were shared with our local resources and hundreds of others who traveled to our valley, by ground or air, to help keep residents safe and fight this fire.

Larson stated, “The Kern River Ranger District is very fortunate to live and work in this community. Our hope is to continue to partner with all of you in caring for our land and keeping our valley fire safe.” Larson further commented, “The gratitude you’ve shown through your contributions means a lot. Thank you.”
