Shamrell shoots 67 to win B Flight in Men’s Golf Club tourney

The Kern Valley Men's Golf Club held their monthly meeting and tournament Aug. 11. In the A Flight, Hal Chealander won first with a net 70. Lynn Klase was second with a net 72. There was a tie for third between Lonnie Klug and John Sayre.

The best round of the day was recorded by Bill Shamrell with a net 67 to win the B Flight. Romeo Shiavi was second with a net 72. Mike Hodge and Richard Hurd tied for third with a 72.

Closest to the pin (CTP) on hole seven was Hal Chealander. Lynn Klase won CTP on hole 16.
