REVA fundraiser Oct. 23

REVA will hold a South-of-the-Border concert and dinner Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Senior Center in Lake Isabella. The fundraiser will be held 5:00-8:00 pm. with musical entertainment provided by Guerrero Musical, and appearances by the Tracie Whitman Dancers, the Senior Sunday School Teacher Comedian and the KVHS Drama Club. Caliente pot bust nets 100 plants, loaded weapon

On Oct. 15, at approximately 1:00 p.m., deputies from the Kern Valley Substation responded to 39672 Baker St. in Caliente regarding a subject living on the property that was not supposed to be there. The landowner, who had not been to the property for approximately two years, also reported a large amount of marijuana being grown inside the residence on the property. Deputies responded to the residence and located a marijuana grow within the garage of the residence, however, no subjects were located on the property at that time.
